For the magazine ‘Der Beobachter’ in Zurich, I captured a night out with two girls, Lea and Camille. I asked them to ignore my presence and behave as if I wasn’t there, which they embraced wholeheartedly. This allowed me to capture a glimpse into the essence of their friendship. The anticipation, excitement and laughter they shared that particular Saturday night propelled them into the early morning hours. Lea and Camille supported each other in choosing outfits, balancing mood swings, and even in warding off unwelcome advances at the club. Amidst the drinking, dancing and fun, moments of loneliness and sadness occasionally pierced their party facade. Observing their journey, it became clear how crucial a loyal, supportive friend is during the rollercoaster years of adolescence. Reflecting on the series, I’m struck by the timelessness of their strong bond and sisterly relationship.
